How do you uphold social and environmental practices?Updated 2 months ago
Parker Clay was founded to foster social impact in Ethiopia. We hire a significant portion of our workforce from EWAR, an organization that helps women escape prostitution. We work to address the root cause of this exploitation by creating ethical employment opportunities for at-risk women. Beyond the job, we aim to educate our employees with advanced skill workshops and financial literacy programs.
As we’ve grown, we’ve evolved to place greater emphasis on our environmental impact. We source our leather from local, sustainable, and family-owned ranches around Ethiopia, and as a Certified B-Corp, we uphold the highest standard of sustainability and efficiency in our manufacturing and shipping processes. We’ve also purchased land in Ethiopia and have begun planting trees to support Ethiopia’s national fight against deforestation.
